Cline Butte Awaits at Alpine Running’s Incline Vista

Alpine Running kicks off their 2026 season with the Incline Vista. The event will be held on Saturday, April 4th at the Cascade View Trailhead in Redmond, featuring a 20-mile trail challenge and a 15k distance for runners of all levels.

If you’ve ever wanted to run Cline Butte, located between Redmond, Bend, and Sisters, this is your chance. The 15k takes a scenic route around the butte, while the 20-mile course climbs all the way to the summit. Runners will travel mostly single-track trails with stunning Central Oregon views, including 360-degree vistas of the Cascades to the west and Smith Rock and the Ochoco Mountains to the east.

Race day starts with the 20-mile course at 8a, with roughly 2,000 feet of elevation gain. One full aid station will be available, and runners should bring their own cup or hydration vessel, as the event is cupless. Participants have 7 hours to complete the distance.

The 15k begins at 9a and features about 400 feet of climbing and access to the same aid station, with a 5-hour time limit.

Bib pickup will be available race morning from 630-845a at the start/finish area. Dogs are not allowed on the course, and participants should keep in mind that the trails are open to other users.

After finishing, stick around for food, drinks, and post-race celebration. All finishers receive a medal, and the top three men, women, and non-binary runners in each distance will earn prizes from race sponsors.
