If there is one word to describe 2025, it definitely would not be boring. But maybe boring is exactly what you need to finish the year well. Or at least a race that starts and ends in Boring, Oregon.
With the Resolution Relay: BYOB (Bring Your Own Baton), you have the chance to say goodbye to 2025 and hello to 2026 with some friends or on your own. The half marathon out-and-back can be completed in teams of 4, 3, 2, or 1. Depending on who you partner with, you could earn your finisher prize for running somewhere between 2.2 and 13.1 miles.

Teams of 3 or 4 need to bring a volunteer along to help the rest of the race, so be sure to ask all your friends to join in (even the non-runners / non-walkers).
Relay participants are responsible for their own transportation to the exchanges. And while there will be aid station, racers who need water more often than the one station at Palmblad/Telford Road Exchange are encouraged to carry their own. Racers are also encouraged to carry snacks if needed.
The Resolution Relay is all about sending good things into the new year. Teams are encouraged to dress-up and use the most stylish (and still functional) baton possible. Awards will be given for best team and individual costumes, as well as best baton and best resolution. And with proceeds going toward scholarships for local high school students, participants will be doing good from registration through the pancake breakfast post-race.
Participants will receive a race shirt (until sold out) and a TBA finisher award. A pancake breakfast, provided by the Bruin Bites (Sam Barlow Culinary Students), will be provided for all racers and volunteers at Boring Grange. So, while on the course, think about what your resolutions will be for the new year. One of them should definitely be “Eat more pancakes.”
