Give ‘Em the Bird at the 2025 Tufted Puffin Endurance Run

It’s time for the 2025 Tufted Puffin Endurance Run on Saturday, August 2nd! This race, which takes place entirely at the Newport High School track, has a 24 hour option, a 6 hour option, or a 12 hour option. You can also opt to run the event as a 50k. And if team events are more your thing, you can participate in the 24 hour race as a relay team if you wish to do so.

What’s great about running on a track is that you never have to worry about getting lost, stopping for cars, or getting up and down hills when your legs are tired. You just go and let your body and brain keep driving you forward. Also, for an event like this, you’ll always be surrounded by other runners, literally traveling the same journey you are.

All participants who successfully complete at least a 50k distance (125 laps around the track) will receive finisher’s medals. There are also Tufted Puffin socks.

Packet pick up will take place the morning of the event at 6:30AM. The 24-Hour race and the first start of the 12-Hour race will start at 8:00AM. The 50k begins at 2:00PM and there is a second start 12-Hour that begins at 8:00PM. You’ll always have company out there for all those 400m stretches ahead, but space is limited.

The 24-Hour individual race is limited to just 40 runners and the Relay is limited to 10 teams. There will only be 15 runners for the 12-Hour race and another 15 for the 50k. So get in now while you can and get yourself to Newport!
