Let’s get one thing straight: I’m not here to convert you into a toe-sock-only enthusiast. Injinji has been around for a while, and they’ve carved out a solid niche with a loyal following. That said, I’m also not asking you to toss out your entire sock drawer in favor of toe socks. However, with a couple of fresh additions to their lineup, maybe it’s time to give Injinji another look. There’s definitely more going on here than meets the eye.
A Little Background
As I get older (which seems to be the theme of all my reviews lately), I’ve noticed that I just can’t bounce back the way I used to. Back in the day, I could head out the door without a warm-up and crush miles, no problem. Post-run stretching? Never heard of it. These days, though, my body demands a bit more care and attention—especially my feet.
After struggling with intermittent foot pain, including a pesky Morton’s Neuroma, I’ve done some research into remedies. A lot of advice centers around exercises and prep that strengthen the toes and foot, keeping them splayed and mobile. Sound familiar (cough…Injinji…cough)? Perhaps a company whose toe socks naturally promote toe separation and foot engagement.
The OG
The Sport Original Weight Crew is, without a doubt, the cornerstone of Injinji’s lineup—the design that put the brand on the map. And while I’m not here to convince you to swap your entire sock collection for toe socks, revisiting this classic after a few years away was surprisingly enjoyable.
Sure, if you’ve got tiny toes like mine, getting them all snugly into place can be a bit of a challenge. But once on, the comfort is pretty solid. The COOLMAX fibers do a fantastic job of wicking moisture, keeping your feet dry during workouts or casual wear. Add in the secure fit, and you’ve got a sock that not only feels great but performs well, too.
The New Gear
Injinji’s latest collaboration with Pointe Studio brings some exciting updates that I couldn’t resist trying. As someone who’s been leaning into yoga lately—not hardcore, but consistently enough to notice improvements—it feels like they’ve hit a sweet spot with these releases.
Yoga-Ready Grip Socks
The primary feature in this new collection are grip socks, designed specifically for yoga and other low-impact activities. These socks feature:
- Grippy Soles: The non-slip grip on the bottom is fantastic for yoga, giving you the stability you need during poses.
- Toe Holes for Flexibility…: True to Injinji’s signature design, the toe holes allow your toes to spread naturally while offering breathability. The toeless design keeps your toes free, enhancing grip and airflow.
- …Or No (?!) Toe Holes: Surprisingly, there’s also a grip sock without individual toe holes in this collection. It’s a bold move for Injinji, but the sock still maintains the brand’s quality and functionality.

After trying these out for a few weeks, I’m hooked. My yoga sessions feel more grounded, and my feet are getting the flexibility work they need without sacrificing comfort or grip.
Final Thoughts
I’m not saying toe socks are a must for everyone, but they’ve earned a place in my rotation for non-running activities like yoga and casual lounging. Whether you’re looking to address foot pain, improve mobility, or just explore a new sock style, Injinji’s latest releases are worth checking out.
