Lucky 13 for the Ladybug Run for CDH Awareness

The Ladybug Run for CDH Awareness returns to Cook Park for its 13th year this July. This popular local race is perfect for the whole family; you can walk, run, push a stroller, split a 10K with your spouse or a friend, and get the kids running too!

This beautiful course mostly runs along paved trails through parks and along the Tualatin River, with a short section on wide sidewalks along Durham Road. There’s one short but challenging hill, and a lovely descent back into Cook Park, but this is a stroller-friendly course and mostly flat. You can expect shaded trails, open green spaces, river views, and for the 10K runners, a short section along a pretty forest trail.

Distance options include a 5K walk, 5K run, 10K run, and fun kids’ races for all ages from a free Diaper Dash to a half mile and mile. This event also offers a 10K relay, where runner 1 takes on the first 5K and runner 2 completes the second 5K. If you can’t make it on race day you can also opt for a virtual 5K or 10K.

All 5K and 10K runners get finisher medals and other race goodies.

To allow everyone plenty of space, the start line is open for 15 minutes with a staggered start.
