1,2,3 Times the Fun at the Oakridge Triple Summit Challenge

Have you ever gotten to the end of a race and thought: “I could do that again”? Have you ever thought: “I could do that two more times”? Well, here is the race to try out the challenge in some beautiful mountains in an area with some of the best mountain trail running in Oregon.

Dead Mountain

With the Oakridge Summit Challenge, participants complete over 40 miles of trail race over the course of three days. The adventure begins with the 30K Dead Mountain on Friday, July t2th. Then on Saturday morning, bright and not-too-early at 8am, the longest distance for the 15K Larrison Rock (which I have done before and is both awesome and tough). And finally, Sunday morning eases participants back to the final finish line through the 20K Salmon Creek.

Runners who are not up for full challenge can sign up for an individual race.

“The Oakridge Triple Summit Challenge is the only three-day stage trail running race in the state of Oregon!”

Each even has aid stations throughout to support participants. The courses are primarily single track, with some patches of gravel or wide trail. Various prizes will be available for participants including top three male and female finishers for the entire stage race, king/queen of the mountain awards, sprinter awards, overall Masters awards, and overall dog awards (only five dogs are allowed in each event so sign up early). And between the races, participants can camp out at Green Waters Park and use showers at the local high school.
