Foehn tops are definitely a classic visualization – marrying the basic colors with an almost streetwear-fashion look. There is extremely minimal branding across the line, and in a world full of fancy designs, extreme colorways, and eye-popping extras, it’s really nice to have just something simple and reliable.
Aylen Polartec Power Dry T-Shirt ($84.95)
The Aylen Polartec T-Shirt seamlessly blends technology with style, making it a standout choice for running – even though it was designed with cycling in mind.
Its construction is nothing short of top-notch, boasting Polartec fabric (100% polyester) that delivers exceptional lightweight performance. Thanks to advanced moisture-wicking technology, it effectively prevents moisture overload, ensuring you stay dry and comfortable throughout your workout. With its barely-there feel, credit goes to its minimalist construction and precision laser-cutting, which keep bulkiness to an absolute minimum.
In addition to its lightweight design, the shirt features strategically placed vent holes on the back to promote airflow, keeping you cool and comfortable during intense workouts. Apart from a playful design on the chest bearing the words “Outdoor Expressionism,” the shirt maintains a sleek and minimalist appearance. Despite its featherweight feel, it exudes strength and durability, confidently tackling runs and enduring multiple washes without showing signs of wear and tear.
Cortes Polartec Delta Tank ($64.95)
This tank top is clearly tailored for summer wear. While initial opportunities to test it in warm weather were limited, I found it to be an ideal companion for treadmill and cross-training sessions in my garage. In fact, its inaugural use was during a rigorous hour-long cycle class, where the lack of airflow made for a particularly warm and sweaty environment. Despite these conditions, the tank rose to the occasion, keeping me surprisingly cool throughout the intense workout.
Its first outdoor trial occurred during a recent trip to Orlando, where the tank’s moisture-moving design truly shone. Engineered to wick away sweat and control odor, it effortlessly kept me cool and dry even in Florida’s muggy climate. The top’s comfort was unmatched, confirming its suitability for warm weather running.
Crafted from soft and lightweight materials, including recycled and organic fibers, its breathable construction ensures a comfortable experience even in the hottest conditions. In fact, holding it up to your face reveals its sheer quality, promising a refreshing and airy feel during every run.
Lathom T-Shirt ($39.95)
The Lathom T may not be your typical running tee, and that’s perfectly fine because it’s designed with comfort and casual in mind. Crafted from 100% recycled cotton, it’s the perfect companion for hiking adventures or as an easy layer to throw on before or after a run. Its simplistic design, featuring a subtle Foehn logo on the chest and back, lends itself well to casual wear around town.
With a medium weight feel, it strikes the perfect balance between breathability and durability, neither too airy nor overly bulky. Plus, it’s cool and understated aesthetic effortlessly adds a touch of style without appearing too extra.
The saying “less is more”, while not always true in the running world, it’s still a phrase that has meaning. While there are a ton of fun and colorful running apparel items out there (and we are absolutely here for it), Foehn’s running line are about as straightforward and simple as it comes.
