Scaling New Heights with Mountain Khakis Shirts and Pants

After almost 4 years of working strictly from home, I have started to ease back into office work again. That means that work wardrobe has been pretty stagnant for a while and was in need of a bit of a refresh.

We recently got our hands on some new gear from Mountain Khakis, and we’re excited to share our experience. From lightweight performance pants to versatile shirts, each piece we tried out offered a perfect blend of style and functionality – quality apparel that can keep up with our active lifestyle…and semi-professional settings.

The Rivers collared shirt is incredibly versatile. Whether I’m heading to dinner, church, or hitting the trails for a hike, it has had me covered in all settings.  The fabric is stretchy and breathable, making it perfect for travel adventures.

I recently wore this on a plane trip and was then subsequently able to use again for an outdoor hike without having to pack another top. It’s great to have something that looks sharp enough for a night out but can handle some serious activity too.

Plus, the little air flap on the back keeps me feeling fresh. And let me tell you, the fit is just spot on—not too tight, not too loose. It’s hands down the best-fitting collared shirt I’ve worn in quite some time. It is crafted from lightweight nylon spandex, ensuring quick-drying comfort and sun protection with its UPF 30+ rating (and a “flip-n-snap collar” for added neck protection.

It has some fun added features like a sunglasses loop and sewn-in chamois cloth for endless hours under the sun.

The Ridgeline Hybrid pants are true all-rounders, perfect for those damp and chilly adventures, yet stylish enough for casual wear. These pants truly live up to their ‘hybrid’ name.

With a lightweight material and Mountain Khaki’s ‘Performance Fit,’ they strike the perfect balance between style and functionality. The straight fit, combined with 4-way stretch fabric and gussets, ensures unrestricted mobility no matter the activity. Plus, with a whopping eight pockets, storage is never a concern.

They’re the ultimate multitasking pants—you can wear them to the office, grab a casual lunch, tackle an after-work hike, and still look sharp for a nice dinner—all in one day, without skipping a beat. Now that’s versatility at its finest.

Personally, I’ve got a bit more muscle on my thighs and quads compared to the average runner, so finding the right fit can be a challenge. While these pants aren’t built for linebacker thighs, they do have a snugger fit around the upper leg and a tapered feel at the bottom (to accommodate boots). I found that my pair was a tad too tight around the thighs and waist, so I’d suggest going up a size unless you’re on the smaller end of your size range.

Overall, they strike a balance between functionality and style, making them versatile for a variety of activities and occasions.
