Sock it to Me: Stepping Up Your Game with the Perfect Pair from Arvin Goods

I never thought I’d be the type to fuss over my socks until I experienced the sheer bliss of slipping into a pair of quality ones. As a runner, comfort was always a priority, but I never realized how much of a difference it could make until I upgraded. Now, I can’t imagine hitting the pavement – or really even just walking around in life – without a blend of support and cushioning wrapped around my feet. The longer my tootsies can be happy to put in the miles – the longer I will be happy as a result.

Arvin Goods, a sustainability-focused company founded in 2016 in Seattle, has redefined the notion of eco-friendly apparel, with a particular emphasis on socks. Their commitment to crafting products using regenerated materials, reflects their dedication to minimizing environmental impact. And this is constantly being evaluated and modified over time. Even their packaging is plastic-free and 100% recycled paper.

They have a wide range of socks in their arsenal and, while they aren’t necessarily geared specifically for running, they can handle easy runs. This is due to having a soft Terry Loop Padded Footbed for cushioning, as well as Elastic Arch Support for security.

They’re all made from recycled cotton and polyester fabric wicks that should keep these going longer than others out there. The construction is as follows:

  • 6% Upcycled Cotton
  • 43% Recycled Polyester (RPET)
  • 19% Polymide
  • 2% Elastane

They really do provide runners with the optimal blend of comfort, breathability, and support. I wouldn’t reach for these on a 10-mile run in the woods or a speed heavy day…but I could!

For runners, Arvin Goods’ socks offer more than just technical functionality; they represent a conscious choice towards reducing one’s carbon footprint without sacrificing performance. Each style looks really solid and are thoughtfully crafted in both style, comfort, and sustainability. That’s a triple threat right there.
