Unlike some hoodies designed specifically for cold weather running, the El Morro stands out as a versatile choice, suitable for both pre-and post-race activities.
Rather than being solely performance-oriented, this hoodie embraces a role as a comfortable and luxurious option. Its intentionally heavy design, featuring premium double face fleece, provides a delightful and almost “weighted blanket” feel without excessive thickness. Throughout the initial weeks of winter wear testing, the El Morro has proven to be an excellent choice for donning after a chilly run, lounging while watching college football bowl games and blogging about running. It’s a genuinely pleasant and versatile garment.
One standout feature is the full-zip design of the El Morro, offering convenience in putting on and taking off the hoodie (I prefer thus way more than over-the-head versions). The zipper extends up significantly when fully engaged, ensuring complete coverage of the neck and beyond.
In terms of functionality, the El Morro Fleece Hoodie deviates from traditional hoodies by omitting the kangaroo pouch in favor of mesh-lined hand pockets on each side. These pockets serve as distinct storage zones, while interior pockets provide a secure space for items that need extra protection.
Available in two predominantly black color options, the El Morro Fleece Hoodie boasts a super classic appearance.
