Race Preview: 2021 Pioneer Dam 5k/10k (Brownsville)

The 2021 Pioneer Dam Run in Brownsville, OR is scheduled for Sunday, June 20th with an 8am start. The 5k and 10k start at the same time in front of the Linn County Historical Museum in downtown Brownsville. Bib pickup starts at 7am on race day. Both courses follow a flat out and back course on Kent Ave and Northern Dr along the Calapooia River. After the event stick around for breakfast in the park, awards to the top three overall male and female winners in both 10K & 5K races and the top two finishers in each age bracket. Prizes will also be awarded for “Best Dressed as a Pioneer,” and random drawing for many give away prizes.

Online registration is now open and is just $25 for either distance and for all ages. Proceeds from the event benefit the refurbishment of the Central Linn High School Track.

Brownsville is a small town located just off I-5 exit 216 in Linn County. It was the filming location for the 1986 film “Stand By Me.”
