There are a lot of Turkey Troy options on Thanksgiving this year, but if you’re looking for a nice low-key local race, consider heading into Beaverton for the 2019 Murrayhill Turkey Trot 5k Run/Walk.
This is the 5th year for this event, and Toews Van Zante and Associates will again be joining the party as a partner, as well as Bellairs Home Team.
The course, which offers both a 5k run and walk, will travel the hills of the Murrayhill area of Beaverton and the challenging power line trails. There are 2 loops, though walkers can just do 1 loop if they wish. The race will start at 8:00AM in the Murrayhill Recreation Association parking lot on Thursday November 28th. Participants can choose between a chipped 5k Run or a non-chipped 5k walk. Kids 8 and under can do this race for free! No pets are allowed but strollers are welcome. Check out the map here.
There will be random prize drawings and age group winners after the event is done, and all race participants will get goody bags at packet pickup.
