One of the longer running Turkey Trots in the Mid-Willamette Valley is Albany’s Oregon Mid-Valley Road Race. In 2008 the Mid-Valley Lion’s Club (now the Corvallis Lions Club) started the Oregon Mid-Valley Road Race as an annual premiere running event in the region to raise dollars to help meet growing medical needs in the Mid-Valley. This event, now in its 11th year, saw about 400 participants last year, and is sure to be packed again this year.
There are 3 distances, a half, 10k, 5k, and a 2.5 mile walk – check out a description and map of each of the distances here.
This year’s Gobbler’s Revenge proceeds supports the Cascade Pacific Council of Scouts BSA. A significant portion of the proceeds will help support scholarships for youth who would not be able to participate in Scouting because of financial hardship.
Their Facebook page is also very up to date and have been updating with the newest information.
