Eastern Oregon Small Race Previews: 2019 Steps to Success 5K/10K (Hermiston) & Truffle Shuffle 5K/10K (Baker City)

Hermiston and Baker City are certainly not right next to each other, at least not close enough to make both of these events. But which ever one you choose, you will find a real sense of small town appeal and fun in either city, not to mention a real bargain for a race!

In Hermiston, you will discover a famiy friendly event, with a great low cost, that includes snacks and sack lunch for everyone that enters. All proceeds from the Steps to Success 5K/10K go to support the Umatilla/Morrow Special Olympics. Walkers are encouraged for the 5K and there is also a 1 mile kids run.

Over in Baker City, the Truffle Shuffle 5K/10K celebrates fitness, fun and chocolate, all while supporting Baker City Young Life. The 5K and 10K courses tour through city streets and end in historic downtown Baker City where participants are treated to a chocolate medallion and drinking chocolate crafted by Peterson’s Chocolatier. Yes, you can run for chocolate!

When: Both races are Saturday, April 27th, with the Hermiston race starting at 8am and the Baker City race starting at 9am.

Cost: The Hermiston races are $15. $25 if you want a shirt. The Baker City races are $20. $30 if you want a shirt.
