The annual Hazelnut Run 5k (formerly “Run for your Nuts”) is the Saturday morning event during Mount Angel’s Hazelnut Festival and German Holiday Market on December 1 at 10am. The 5k course weaves through the streets of Mount Angel, with a sort stretch on gravel, and a nice downhill finish along Church Street to the Festhalle.
Registration is open, and is just $26 for the chip timed race. Day of race registration and pre-registered packet pickup will start at 8:45am for the 10am start. Race participants will be able to keep warm inside the Festhalle (map) while waiting for the start, and will receive a bag of nuts and free entry to the festival at the conclusion of the run.
