Fourth of July offers many race options but nothing compares to the huge event that surrounds the Freedomthon in Beaverton.
The Freedomthon is a 5K on a flat and fun course but also has a TON of fun things going on after and around the race. This race is sure to satisfy everyone’s entertainment needs. Bring the kids and have them jump in one of the FOUR bounce houses at the event or enter to compete in the pie eating contest! Kids can also run a kid’s run after the 5K finishes. Not only that, but all racers get to indulge in a pancake breakfast. If that wasn’t enough, every finisher will receive a medal, there will be overall winner prizes and age group pins! Don’t forget to wear your best red, white and blue outfit! There will be a costume contest before the race and prizes for the winners!
But don’t worry, you don’t have to wait till July 4th for the fun to begin. Uberthons, the racing company that puts on the Freedomthon, thought of everything. Instead of a typical packet pickup, you can pickup your bib the day before and join in on a family bowling tournament at Big Al’s.
So, if you are looking for a Fourth of July all encompassing family event and to get in a good 5K, the Freedomthon is certainly the one for you!
