Save the Date: the Sunday Evenings 5k is on July 8 and Registration is only $5 until June 24

… and, if you share the event on facebook, you will save an extra dollar. Come on, a 5k for only $4?? That’s less than $1/k!

The Sunday Evenings 5k is a lovely route on neighborhood sidewalks and the Powerline Trail. There are ample hills on this course to challenge you and make you stronger, and attracts both runners and walkers in good numbers. The front of the race is competitive, with BAC and Team Red Lizard runners turning out each year; the back of the pack is not “left in the dust,” though – there are so many people walking with friends or pushing strollers that you won’t feel abandoned. The volunteers at this race make each and every participant feel important and well-supported.

The race starts at 5p from SW Bible Church, which is at Weir and Murray in South Beaverton. There is ample parking and a huge area to warm up, with activities for the kiddos.

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!

Registration includes dinner! The SW Bible Church puts this, and many other “Sunday Evening” events on for their community, whether or not you’re part of their church family, and they love to see new faces. If you’re “not churchy,” don’t worry! The activities are not religious or faith-based, and for everyone.

So, mark your calendar or go ahead and register already! If you wait until after June 24, it’s $10, which honestly is still an amazing price.

The 2018 race is on Sunday, July 8 at 5p. The address of SW Bible Church is 14605 SW Weir Road in Beaverton.
