Small Race Preview: 2018 Let Freedom Run 5k (Forest Grove)

Human trafficking is a very serious problem that needs all the attention it can get, and the 2018 Let Freedom Run 5k is a great way to give this cause a little more exposure. This event, planned by the YES (Youth Ending Slavery) Forest Grove chapter in an effort to raise awareness and gain involvement, will be held on May 12th at the Forest Grove High School track at 5:00PM.

There will be booths at the race with volunteer opportunities and local food carts in addition to a guest speaker on the topic who will give a speech after the race. This race is a fundraiser for Janus Youth Programs, which helps aid youth who’ve been exploited through human trafficking.

The course promises to be flat and there will be free finisher photos as well as music, prizes, and awards. The cost of this race is only $25, so check it out and stand behind a great cause while you get your sweat on.
