Dionysus Dash 5k Returning to Winter’s Hill Winery – Register early for only $20 until January 31 (GIVEAWAY)

Technically, registration is only $19.99, but “$20” made a better headline, don’t you think?

The details:

When: Saturday, July 21

What time: 8:15a race start

Where: Winter’s Hill Winery Estate Vineyard at 6451 NE Hilltop Lane in Datyon

Register: Online here for just $19.99 by January 31

And, we have an entry to give away to an alert Run Oregon reader! To enter, simply visit this post on facebook and tag a friend that you’d enjoy running this with. For each person tagged, you’ll get another entry. We will draw a winner on January 26, 2018 and let the winner know via facebook.

I volunteered at the Dionysus Dash 5k last year and was really surprised there weren’t more people there – so I made it a personal mission to tell everyone about it for 2018. Primarily because you can’t beat that early registration price and also because Winter’s Hill makes spectacular wine. So if you have a sour (grapes) taste in your mouth from running on a literal race track for sub-par nectar (or maybe even finishing after they’d run out) … check this one out!

First of all – this is NOT an easy jog along the waterfront. It’s run at the Winter’s Hill Winery Estate Vineyard, and there are hills, dales, and some patches of uneven ground. (The race is open to both runners and walkers, so don’t feel like you have to aim for a PR.) But the views are spectacular and then, at the finish, you get wine. Good wine. I can’t stress this enough … life is too short to drink bad wine. See you there, friends!

About Kelly Barten (905 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
