Race Preview: 2017 Volkslaufe 25k/5k (Central Point)

OK, Speedsters – this upcoming race is for you. The Volkslaufe 25KM Championship Run is the USATF-Oregon Association 25km championship. This means not just status, but prize money for the top 3 overall men and women! And, if you prefer a 5K fun run, you have that option as well.

Both distances will start and finish at the Jackson County Expo in Central Point. The 25K will be well-supported with water stations at 5, 10, 15, and 20 kilometers. The 5K is an untimed out and back course with no awards.

The 25K also includes some special awards for anyone who beats the race director’s 1980 time and another for the first male and female who are former student/athletes of the race director, Joe Volk.

There will also be a drawing for an Elliptigo Arc 8. Each participant gets on raffle ticket, and additional tickets can be purchased to improve your odds.
