Small Race Preview: 2017 Grants Pass Half Marathon, 10k, & 5k

If you’ve ever been to Grants Pass, you know it’s a beautiful part of Oregon. If you’re looking for a fun race to do this fall, the Grants Pass Half Marathon, 10k & 5k on October 28th might be the one you’re looking for.

The start and finish line for all the distances of this race is at Reinhart Volunteer Park. There will be plenty of restrooms, water stations, and professional chip timing. Refreshments will be available to all participants as well as showers at the YMCA to get all cleaned up and rested before the awards begin and prizes are handed out. Just show them your bib and you won’t stink for the car ride home.

If you’re the type who likes to look at the course before you run it, you can check it out here.  It’s got a good mix of some city  as well as country roads and the elevation is nothing scary either. This is a pretty flat route and probably pretty scenic as well.

In addition to the half, 10k and 5k, there will be a kids costume run. All kids who participate will get a t-shirt, a medal, and a goodie bag. Not a bad score for $7!!

Come check this race out and bring your family to enjoy the festivities as well!
