Mid-Valley Small Race previews: Running Wild 5k (Monmouth) and Finish at the the Flag 5k (Lebanon)

Does the idea of running a 5k and doing an outdoors skills challenge at the same time sound intriguing to you?  The annual Running Wild 5k Run/Walk incorporates archery, trap shooting, spin casting and animal tracking identification as an introduction to fishing and hunting sports at the same as you run/walk a 5k route through the lovely Monmouth, Oregon wildlife area. Each outdoor activity will be facilitated by certified instructors provided by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife. There will also be music and a raptor demonstration once you cross the finish line! Proceeds from the race benefits the Pheasants Forever, which is dedicated to the conservation of wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs. Sounds like a great time to me!
