Kickstarter of the Week: The Tahquitz Pack and Cabrillo Dry Bag -by BE Outfitter

If there is one thing that every Oregonian needs, it is a nice mid-size bag. I feel that the majority of us take in some excursions, both urban and rural, and are in need of a bag to pack running gear, extra clothes, healthy snacks, water, and miscellaneous items (like baby paraphernalia in my case). Be Outfitters has already surpassed their asking amount for their Tahquitz Pack and Cabrillo Dry Bag, and man does it look pretty sweet.

The Tahquitz Pack is named after the birthplace of present day rock climbing, but the bag itself is definitely not limited to that activity only. It is constructed (in Heather Grey and Midnight Black) from a blended nylon yarn, and also has waterproof  zippers, hidden stash pocket, daisy chain webbing for additional gear, fidlock magnetic snap closures, haul handle, 3/4 zip side entry, sternum strap with water reservoir tube snap. That’s a lot of awesome built into these 35L and 40L packs.

I also like that it comes with hip straps for those weekend excursions BUT these can be easily stored away if you are using it for the office. There is also a hidden water bottle pocket that can be sleekly zipped away when not in use.

The 7.5L Cabrillo Dry Bag can probably serve a variety of purposes, but is perfect for the photographers out there. The 100% waterproofing means that you don’t have to worry about Pacific NW weather getting in the way of a perfect shot. And the molded foam insert allows for the ability to keep your device safe when trekking or travelling.

On top of all the functionality and construction of these items, they just look awesome. They are simple, yet seem to showcase casual and understated style. They clearly don’t have to be “flashy” to deliver an eye-catching product. We hope to check out one of these in the near future! Until then, consider pledging to be geared up this summer!
