On February 4th mud-loving runners of all ages will descend on River’s Edge Golf Course in Bend for the USA Track & Field Cross Country National Championships. Individual and team titles will be up for grabs for men and women in Junior, Open, and Masters divisions. Masters individual and team championships will also be decided in 10-year age groups. While the atmosphere and competition at these races can be intense, the vibe is also very friendly, as familiar faces from around the nation reunite for their annual celebration of sweat, grass, and dirt.
“The 2017 USATF Cross Country National Championships will draw the top runners from around the country to run for bragging rights in the heart of Bend, Oregon at the Rivers Edge Golf Course. The course is sure to send the fittest athlete home with the title and the cash!
The USATF Cross Country National Championships will utilize the best cross country running terrain in Central Oregon to see which athletes are at the top of their game. The National Championship racing will play out at Rivers Edge Golf Course which played host to the 2013 USATF Club Cross Country National Championships. Although the course is largely the same in terrain we have made some key updates to enhance the athletes experience.”
