If you have been at any race expos over the past few years in Oregon, you have probably seen the awesome tiger logo and advertisments for Salem’s biggest obstacle course races – The Freeze and The Inferno. These sister-events both take place in the hills of West Salem – one in winter and the other in summer. This is the 3rd and FINAL winter event, so consider checking it out before it’s gone.
The Freeze has two 0ptions, 1 4-5 mile course with 25+ obstacles and a crazy 10-hour endurance “Max Out Challenge”. From their website:
Racing The Freeze, you will experience:
- 25+ obstacles – including monkey bars, wall climbs, tire drags and more
- 4-5 miles in distance
- Tough and potentially muddy Oregon terrain
You’ll climb hills, haul sandbags, climb walls, traverse monkey bars, and of course drag tires, all as you make your way to the finish line!
