Race Preview: 2017 Sandelie Golf Course Mud Run

Are you ready to hit the links on January 14th? If you enjoy cross country running, don't miss the Sandelie Golf Course Mud Run. This is not a "fake" mud run, where pits have been dug and flooded. This mud run is straight from Mother Nature, so the weather will dictate how muddy this run will be. This 5K and 10K allows runners to experience the golf course in a way only runners would appreciate. The route is mostly flat, but the 10K runners will experience a few trail challenges. Regardless of which distance you choose, plan on getting those shoes (and maybe more) muddy on race day. Because this race is on a golf course, no cross country spiked shoes - or spikes of any kind - are allowed.

There will be a packet pick-up the Friday before race day at Sandelie Golf Course from 12-5 PM. Warm beverages and snacks will be available at packet pick up for your drive home.  You can also pick up your number on race day. Limited shirts ($13) and sweatshirts ($35) will be available on race day.

This event is limited to 250 participants, so be sure to register soon to enjoy a muddy run on the Sandelie Golf Course. If you register by December 31, you will be entered to win one of 4 free entries to the 2018 race. (Winners will have a “MUD” sticker on the back of their race bibs – so be sure to check when you pick up your bib.)

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue. There will also be a Fill the Boot campaign happening on Friday and Saturday. All funds donated into the firefighters’ boots will be donated to Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue.

Changing rooms will be available after the race if you need to take off wet, muddy clothes before you head home. Parking is limited at the golf course, so carpooling is recommended.
