Race Preview: 2016 Florence Half Marathon

Running on the Oregon Coast in the fall can be the perfect setting with great running temperatures. With that in mind, the Florence Half Marathon just might be the ideal run for you. This out and back course starts at Miller Park in Florence and runs along the Siuslaw River to Heceta Beach before returning back to the start. Sounds like a course with great views!

This September 25th race by Pink Buffalo Racing will have 5 aid stations along the course with water, snacks, and energy drinks. There will also be 3 toilets along the course. This half marathon has a 4 hour time limit and is closed to strollers and dogs. You can view the course map here.

All finishers will receive a finisher medal. The top 3 male and female finisher in each age group will receive awards. (Awards will be available at the results table. There will be no awards ceremony.)

Parking for this event will be available at the Siuslaw Elementary, Middle, and High School. Showers will be available after the race at Siuslaw Middle School until 1:00 P.M.
