Eclectic Edge Racing’s Twilight River Run is a 5K race in Eugene’s Alton Baker Park that will take place on September 22 for a rare Thursday evening run. It serves as the big fundraising event for the Sheldon High School cross-country team. The team coach explains:
The Twilight 5k is our team’s big annual fundraiser. The success of this run is extremely important to success of our programs. The school district provides the athletic programs with exactly zero dollars to operate our programs; that means that having supportive parents and athletes like you is the only way we can keep our program going!
The race starts at the Eugene Water & Electric Board Plaza and stays mostly in the Alton Baker Park. It’s mostly a loop course with one out-and-back segment in the middle.
