Run Oregon Test Kitchen: TasterieBox!

Tasterie Box!

I love snacks. Like, it's kind of a running joke with my friends that you can talk me into just about anything if there's the promise of some tasty treats (or beer). I looooove snacks. But I have some dietary restrictions (I don't eat meat, I eat minimal seafood, dairy and eggs, and I prefer to foods with recognizable ingredients), so I am constantly reading nutrition labels, and asking a lot of questions. I can only imagine how much more time-consuming and involved it would be if I had dietary restrictions due to medical necessity. That's why TasterieBoxes are perfect. The Tasterie team sources out healthy and flavorful snacks and foods, and then curates your box based on your dietary preferences--gluten-free; gluten/wheat/dairy-free; tree-nut-free; or top-8-allergen-free (free of dairy, eggs, fish/shellfish, gluten, nuts, peanuts, soy, or wheat). All of the items have been thoroughly and rigorously screened to ensure that they are free of potential allergens, so you can rest assured that they're safe for you and your family to consume (detailed info is included in each box).  And, for every box shipped out to a Tasterie customer, they donate food to the hungry. Boxes start at $25 per month, and discounted subscriptions for multiple months are available. Tasterie promises that each box has a higher total value higher than the price you pay, and they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee as well.

I was so excited to open my Tasterie box when it arrived, and I was even more excited when I saw the awesome goodies inside–items ranging from snacks, to side dishes, to dips, to spices. I wanted to just dig right in and sample everything but I held back, and took some product photos first. There were nine food items in my box, plus a Tasterie info booklet, and a magazine with recipes. All of them were good, and most of them were SUPER DELICIOUS–particularly the Red Pepper Creamy Sunflower Spread from Viana. I even shared a few snacks with my coworkers, who also liked the snacks, and were pretty surprised when I told them that they’re healthy, allergen-free foods! I really didn’t feel like I was missing out on eating “normal snacks” because these were so good. They weren’t “good allergen-free snacks,” they were actually just GOOD snacks!

I was incredibly impressed with my Tasterie box and encourage anyone who loves food to check it out.
