Race Preview: Bark in the Park 2K, 5K and 10K 5/15/16 (Eugene, Ore.)

Bark in the Park is an annual fundraising event for Greenhill Humane Society, located in Eugene, Oregon. Now in its 23rd year, this run and walk for animals always creates a huge buzz! This year, the goal is to raise $90,000 to help care for, and find homes, for 3,000 (+) pets in 2016. As of this writing, the event is at 25% of their goal!
Occurring on Sunday, May 15 at Alton Baker Park in Eugene, you may choose from a 2K walk, 5K run, or 10K run. And yes, your four-legged furry family members are welcome to attend with you! The routes will take you along the quiet, peaceful multi-use paths in Eugene’s Alton Baker Park.
In addition to the three distance events, lots of dog-a-licious activities, including vendors on site, demonstrations, a pet/person look-alike contest, the best pet trick contest, a pet/person karaoke event, and so much more will be taking place.

Prizes will be given to top fundraisers (individual and team), as well as for the fastest male and female runners (including age groups)… and even awards for the top five fastest dogs! Nice!
The event kicks off at 9 a.m. for the 2K walk, followed by the 5K and 10K run occurring at 10 a.m. Secure your spot and get registered!
