Territory Run Co. is an independent trail running apparel brand, created to empower the wild hearted. We wish to spend our time running on a mountain or forest trail, sitting around a campfire, living close to nature and seeking what is wild and free. We are a group of individuals who feel most alive running deep in the forest or on a mountain trail. Each time we get out we gain perspective. We see that our time is best spent as close to nature as possible and the more we find ourselves with modern distractions the less we feel at home. We are committed to pursuing our true instincts and getting off the beaten path.
The last time that we reviewed some stuff by Portland-based Territory Run Co. was back in February 2015. They were relatively new at the time, and I personally was (and still am) obsessed with their shirts. They were simplistic, meaningful, and designed right here in Portland.
Men’s Wild Wing t-shirt
Matt sampled a Men’s Wild Wing t-shirt, a simplistic grey cotton blend (50% cotton, 50% polyester), with “Freedom of the Run” in gold around a winged foot. I couldn’t agree more with the sentiment – there really is something freeing about being out there on the trails or the road and watching the world open up before you with every step you take. Freedom indeed.
Between my new shirt and my other Territory Run Co. shirt, I have received a fair share of compliments and questions as to where they came from. My old TRC shirt has gone through dozens and dozens of washes, and still looks fantastic. It is one of those shirts that I always find myself going to as soon as it is clean.
Jessica checked out the same shirt as Matt, but specifically designed, tailored, and named for women. The women’s version is called the Wild Wing T-Shirt. I am absolutely in love with the graphic, and the words “Freedom of the Run”. The color, a gorgeous plum, has shades of grey and blue dabbled in. This results in a very unique, fashionable, and memorable color. Same as Matt, when I wear this shirt, I always get at least one comment – if not about running, it is about the beautiful coloration of the garment.
The ladies Wild Wing T-Shirt is a tri-blend material, containing 50% polyester, 25% cotton and 25% rayon. The shirt is printed in Portland, Oregon (my home town!), and made in the USA. Sizing is available from small to extra large. I chose the medium size and it fit excellent for me, allowing a little extra room to move, but being cut with an ‘athletic fit’. Having washed the shirt 5 times now, it looks like brand-new, and feels so soft to the touch. This is definitely my go to shirt, whether it be for a run, some barre3, or to wear to work on a casual Friday with jeans. Love it, love it, love it!
