The 4th annual Stoller Community 5K is right around the corner. Held at Stoller Middle School, this race is truly a community event with locals of all ages turning out to help in funding the school’s fitness lab and health and wellness programs.
I ran this 5K last year and was surprised by the number of people participating in this community run. (See the 2015 recap here.) This event had a ton of community support. Along the course you can expect to hear local school bands and cheerleaders cheering you along. The atmosphere is definitely something you won’t forget.
The course is in a hilly area, so you’ll have some rollers as you run along roads and paved trails. Expect a well-staffed course with enthusiastic volunteers all along the way.

A free 1K Jaguar Jog will be held before the 5K, so definitely bring the kids! Childcare is also available at this event. If you want to drop the kids off before you run, check here for more information.
The Stoller Community 5K is a well-organized event. It has the professionalism of a big race with the feel of a small community. I am looking forward to participating again this year and encourage you all to come participate and support Stoller Middle School’s health and fitness program. This race is capped at 800, so register soon!
