The course will take place on the park’s bike path consisting of mostly flat terrain with a few stretches of gravel and gentle rolling hills. Depending on which distance you choose to race, you will end up running anywhere from 1 to 3 loops; One loop of the course equals 10K and 2 loops equals 20K, while 30K entrants will complete 3 loops.
The race will be open to both runners and walkers and actually has a separate walking category with separate awards for walkers. Should you opt to register as a walker, the expectation is that you will walk the entire time (one foot on the ground at all times). If you plan to jog or run any portion of the event, then you should be registered as a runner. Another bonus of the event is that it will feature a free 1/4 mile Kids Run, so you can get the whole family involved.
The schedule of races is as follows:
20K and 30K (Run and Walk) 8:00 AM
10K Walk 8:30 AM
Kid’s Run 9:30 AM
10K Run 10:30 AM
The race will be chip timed by Huber Timing and results will be made available at the finish on kiosks and posted live on Huber Timing’s site. All finishers in the 10K, 20K, and 30K receive a hat and/or medal.
The 10K is part of the ORRC 10K series, which is open to all ORRC members.
Race Prices: $40 for 10K Run or Walk; $45 for 20K Run or Walk; $55 for 30K Run or Walk. ORRC Members: See registration site for discount information.
