Race Preview: 2015 Trick or Treat, Monster Feet 5k and Kid’s race

Holy crap, it's almost Halloween. Cue the start of a 2-month stream of candy, food, dark weather, and rain - a recipe for distaster. We all know you are going to do a Turkey Trot to help with your pre-meal gorging, but why not kick off the holiday season right with a Halloween race. The Trick or Treat, Monster Feet 5k is coming back to the Rogue Brewery in Newport on October 24, 2015.

The day starts off with a 3/4 mile Kid’s race, which offers Trick or Treating oppurtunities around the Marina, and is followed by a simple out-and-back 5k along the Jetty. Costumes are obviously encouraged and this offers a good chance to try out your running costume before the 31st. Last year’s inaugural event offered cash prizes for overall winners and best costumes. All proceeds go to The Rotary Club of Newport.
