Even if you have done some other obstacle events, you will find the Race the Reaper course a challenge. Like other events, there will be mud, lots of mud. But there will also be wall climbs, monkey bars, tower challenges, cargo nets, rope obstacles, tire climbs and many other obstacles that will challenge your entire body. All participants receive a participants shirt, finishers award and a Widmer beer token for the 21 and older crowd. All-Terrain Events takes pride in offering a challenging event that changes every year so even if you’ve raced the Reaper before, you’ll find new obstacles. Because of the extreme nature of this event, heats are limited to the first 150 registrants and you’ll need to pack more than just your running shoes. Make sure to pack photo ID since it is required in order to participate. Also bring along a change of clothes since you are guaranteed to be wet and muddy, cash for food, drinks or commemorative gear and your signed participant release form. Make sure to carpool, since parking will cost $10 (cash only) and if you’re bringing a spectator make sure to have them sign the spectator release form.
Flying-M-Ranch has some of the most amazing views and participants will take advantage of everything this historical venue has to offer, including their mountain trails for this event. Flying-M-Ranch has been in the Mitchell family for 94 years and they are inviting Race the Reaper participants to see what the ranch has to offer with camping shacks and camp sites. Save yourself a little time in the morning and camp out with your teammates. You need to show up at least an hour before your heat to make sure you have time to park and pick up your packet. Packet pick up is only available race day at the designated tent.
Day of registration will be available for $70 (3+ mile obstacle) and $90 (6+ mile obstacle), but save yourself some money and time and register online. Online registration is available through midnight on September 23rd. Individuals racing the 3+ mile course cost $55 and $75 for those tackling the 6+ miles, deduct $5 if you register a team of 4 or more. Challenge yourself with Race the Reaper and have fun doing it. Tires, ropes and mud should make for some good memories.
