Hula Girl half marathon, 10k or 5k run/walk, occurring Saturday, August 1, 2015So, what will make this a substitute for that incredible island getaway to the Hawaiian Islands? Well, here is why. There will be a Hawaiian festival and theme going for both days, live Hawaiian-themed entertainment, Hawaiian pu pus, prizes, Deschutes Brewery Beer garden … a Polynesian show which includes drummers, fire dancers, and even a reggae band! Participants and spectators are encouraged to dress-up in all your Hawaiian themed goodies to truly bring the Hawaiian islands right here to Portland.
