It’s rare that a road race offers team competition – usually, it’s just cross-country races that are fought over by teams in matching singlets. So it’s noteworthy that there will be a team category at the Smith Rock Road Race 10k, scheduled for May 10th in Terrebonne, Ore. at Smith Rock State Park.
Teams are made up for five runners, with the four fastest finishing times counted. Teams with the fastest cumulative times will win custom glasses, in these categories: men’s, women’s, mixed (at least two women), high school boys, and high school girls.
There is also a special discount for participants of high school teams in the 10k competition. High school team members can register for just $30 with the code HSTeam2015 when they sign up online here.
