The 7th annual Fort Vancouver Run takes place on Sunday, March 1st, 2015. This run draws over 1,000 runners, which this year means that the start/finish line is moving to a different spot to accommodate the runners and walkers better. This results in changed race distances and routes, which will be announced soon.
The run starts and ends at Fort Vancouver, will go through the fort and along the Columbia River. The 12k is slated to start at 8:20 with the 5k following at 8:40. Race participants will receive a chip-timed run, tech event shirt, finisher medal for 12k participants, drink, food and music after the race.
Just like most other Energy Events, this run also offers kids runs for a variety of running skills and motivations for kids under 12. Depending on your and your child’s preferences, they can run with parents, without, on the short loop or the 1k run. (Youth under 18 can also run the 5k and 12k for a reduced price registration fee of $18.) Kids run participants receive a race bib, cotton t-shirt, and a finisher’s medal. KidZone child care is available during the adult races.
