Small race preview: Heart and Sole 5k/10k in Longview, Wash. – including a free kids run

Valentine’s Day will be a lovely affair in Longview, Wash.,  for those running the Heart and Sole 5k and 10k. Organized by the Longview Kiwanis and Longview Recreation, the run is a great low-cost way to celebrate your love of running.  The 5k is only $10 and the 10k is only $15.

There’s not a ton of information on the race’s website, but it’s important to note that if you’re not set up with the Longview Recreation Department there is a printable registration form you can mail in.* 

There is a strong running community in Longview, so expect a strong turnout and a well-organized event!

When: Saturday, February 14, 2015

What time: 9a

Where: The Elks Building at 2121 Kessler Blvd. in Longview, Wash.

Register: Online or via mail-in form* for $10 for the 5k and $15 for the 10k. The 5k is only $5 for kids 12 and under. There is also a free kid’s run for ages 12 and younger.

*If you use the mail-in registration option, be sure to include your full date of birth including year, so they can figure age group awards.
