A big part of why I run is to be part of the elements. Whatever those might be. I think this might not be too uncommon a motivation; so looking at the Sandelie Golf Course Mud Run seems like a great place to start. If you’ve ever done a mud race, Spartan Race, or Warrior Dash –esque event, this should be pretty familiar territory for you and probably even a bit more manageable.
Sandelie’s 5 and 10k courses promise all the fun and mud of golf course running in Wilsonville in January, without the pesky obstacles. Perfect for anyone nostalgic for the days of cross-country, bring your oldest, most beat up runners and get out there to enjoy the elements – be they rainy, frozen, foggy, or somewhere in between.
Keeping the potentially messy conditions in mind, race officials will have changing rooms for runners to clean up so carpooling can be a much more pleasant experience for everyone involved.
All the proceeds from this event go directly to TVF&R and there will be a “Fill the Boot” fundraiser both Friday and Saturday ready to lighten your spare change load.
