Race Preview: Operation Jack Northwest

Have you ever wished you could pick your own distance at a race?  If so, Operation Jack Northwest is your wish come true!  On December 13th you can choose to run any distance from 1 mile to an ultra-marathon at Summerlake Park’s 0.94 mile loop course.

This creative event is a fundraiser for autism research and is the brainchild of Sam Felsenfeld, who wanted to raise money and awareness for autism in the name of his autistic son, Jack.  This 6 hour event is in its 5th year in the Northwest.  The organizers are hoping to raise more than $1,500 for Operation Jack this year.

When you register for Operation Jack Northwest, choose your distance, but if you feeling like running more or less on race day – that’s up to you!  You just have to finish before the race course closes at 2:00 P.M.

Distance options:

Short Distance (1-13 miles) = 1-13 loops
Half Marathon (13.1 miles) = 14 loops
Tweener (13.2-26.1 miles) = 15-27 loops
Marathon (26.2 miles) = 28 loops
Ultra-marathon (26.3+ miles) = 29+ loops

Operation Jack Northwest is capped at just 100 runners, so register soon to get in on this multi-distance fundraising run.
