Firecracker Triple offering 5k distance this year at all events

If you've read our blog for a few years, you know that the Firecracker Triple is a three-race series made up of the Foot Traffic Flat and two lower-cost events put on by Beaverton runner Steve Walters. If you've ever thought about doing three events in one weekend, all three races offer a marathon, half marathon and this year, a 5k. This is just a reminder, in case you are jonesin' for some more 5k action. Hey, sign up for two of them, and run a 5k on your own in between for a fall relay test run!

The Foot Traffic Flat 5k is run on the 4th of July and this year, kicks off the series. Register online here for $38.00. This is a big-time event, very well organized by Foot Traffic, held on Sauvie Island.

Next up is the Stars and Stripes 5k on July 5th, held on the Fanno Creek Trail in Greenway Park in Beaverton. Click on the race name to register for $20.

Closing out the series is the Cook Park 5k on Sunday, July 6. Online registration is $20.
