The Portland Challenge urban scavenger race is returning to Portland for the 5th year on Sunday, May 4, 2014.  This Amazing Race style competition pits teams of 2 or more against each other solving clues, planning routes, and exploring the great city of Portland. With an approximate distance of a 5K (depending on each team’s chosen route), walkers and runners alike are welcome to compete in this race that tests your brain just as much as your legs. This race, put on by Challenge Nation, is one of 35 events throughout the country this year. With cash prizes and a national Challenge Championship on the line, this event is sure to bring out the competitive nature in everyone.  The top 50 teams in each city will qualify for the national championship in Las Vegas in November.
