The Lake Oswego Women’s Club’s 38th Annual Lake Run will take place in Lake Oswego on Saturday May 10th, 2014. It includes at 10k, 5k, and a kid’s run. All proceeds go to support local charities, including Clackamas Women’s Services, Clackamas Children’s Center and Court Appointed Child Advocates (CASA).
The 10k is going back to its challenging around the lake route, which includes a 500ft elevation gain on the first mile. In return you’ll be treated to some beautiful views of the lake. The 5k follows a more moderate route, also offering great views of the lake. The race allows strollers and MP3 players, but please leave your dog at home.
[Editor Note: As someone who has experience with the CASA Program in my “real life” job, I have seen many volunteers donate their time towards helping and advocating for kids in the community. I have seen first hand how great CASA work can support children, families, and the community as a whole. A great way to help local foster kids can be by supporting CASA programs, either in Clackamas County through this race, or in your own local county. – Matt]
