Blooms to Brews is coming up soon on April 13, 2014 in Woodland, WA at Horseshoe Lake Park. This is the beautiful finishers medal all the half marathon runners will receive (sorry not for the 10K participants). It’s a nice medal, and I am told larger than previous years.

Early Bird rates are over as of 2/28/14, however if you missed that chance then take advantage of this special offer of $5 off the 10K and $10 off the half this Saturday Only! Why one day? I was told because it’s Karen’s Birthday 3/15/14 (One of the Race Directors). Well techinically less than one day, Active.com willdeactivate that code at 8pm for updates, so the code is only good from 12am to 8pm.
Use Promo Code “Karenhalf” for the half Marathon, Rate is currently $65 for the half
Rates go up on April 1st to $50 for the 10K and $75 for the Half
Shirts were only guaranteed to people who registered by 2/28/14, however they did order a few extras last week. They are limited quantities and sizes are not guaranteed.

Packet Pick up will be from 3pm to 7pm Friday April11th at Foot Traffic off Fremont Street. Then, again at Bold Training in Battle Ground Village on Saturday April 12th from 12pm to 4pm. However, Participants can pick packets up on race day too.

Anyone know what the aid/water stations are like on this run? I sent them a FB message and haven’t heard anything?
I did this last year as a half, and the water stations were nicely spread out, and I do not remember it being an issue. I do remember one aid station having gummy bears and another being at this steep downhill turn as we raced toward the tuilp fields. I am doing the 10K this year and cannot attest to those. What I do remember is the course was AMAZING! Mostly flat with great views of Horseshoe Lake, the Columbia River, Mt St Helens, and tons of beautiful farm fields. Also, at every mile they had these great signs with inspirational sayings. I loved the silhouettes and the cute shoe print graphics.
