Here’s a great new inexpensive and family friendly St. Patrick’s Day themed event. Perhaps the most unique thing about it is when it takes place. You won’t miss any other events and you can bring the whole family for a fun-filled Friday night! This new three mile fun run and 2 mile walk is a fundraiser for the Lent School Garden and Outdoor Education Space.
How is this event family friendly you say? Well, to start with rumor has it there will be a bear wandering this premises (read: guy in a bear suit) that the kids would enjoy. Also, there’s pizza for everyone, a costume contest, shirts, and tons of raffle prizes. P.S. … a little birdie told me the raffle prizes will include entries to other great races in the area!
Be sure to sign up quickly, as this event is limited to just 120 participants. Runners are asked to sign up in person at Pace Setter Athletic at 4203 SE Woodstock Blvd, Portland, OR 97206. T-shirts are first come first served at not guaranteed if you register on race day so pre race day sign up is encouraged.
