Running for its 7th year this July 28th, the Beaverton Sun Run is a great local race put on by the Beaverton Rotary Club that helps students from elementary through graduation. Funds from this 5k/10k are used to provide books for young students to have in their home, give dictionaries to 4th graders, and support graduates heading to a Vocational Training program or a college/university program. The 6th Annual Beaverton Sun Run will include a 5K, 10K, and a Kids Dash. This annual event is improving its 10K route this year. Instead of running through the industrial area off of Denny Rd., 10K runners will continue on Fanno Creek Trail to the Greenway Trail. We here at ADAPT are proud to team up with the Beaverton Rotary to host the Beaverton Sun Run for the second year in a row. The group chose ADAPT for it’s close proximity to the Fanno Creek Trail and large space to accommodate 300 runners and their families.
