High Desert Miles at Sisters Country

Better weather is around the corner, and it’s time to plan a run in Central Oregon. Maybe this is the year you should register for the 2026 Sisters Country 50k/Half Marathon. This race is brought to us by Alpine Running on Sunday May 3rd, 2026 and they always bring on the epic races!

These two race distances will start and finish at Village Green Park in beautiful Sisters, OR. The 50k will kick off the day at 7:30AM and the half marathon will begin at 9:00AM. Backporch Coffee will be on hand at the start line and there’s a post-race burrito bar and beer from Cascade Lakes Brewing waiting for you at the end.

The half marathon course offers 700 feet of climbing with 95% of the terrain on single track trails. You’ll be treated to gorgeous forest views and can expect 2 stocked aid stations. There’s a 5 hour cutoff time for this distance, which makes it a great option for those wanting to take their time.

The 50k course boasts incredible views of the Cascade Peaks. The terrain is 85% single track trail (the other 15% is gravel) and there will be 2400 feet of ascent and descent and 5 fully stocked aid stations. All runners must be done by 5:00PM and there is no drop bag option.

All participants will get a finisher’s medal and there are some awesome race day prizes for the top finishers from the race sponsors.

The cost of the race is $105 for the half marathon and $135 for the 50k, but prices go up and shirt sizes are no longer guaranteed after March 30th, so register now! The beneficiary of the event is the Ridgeview High School XC team, so you’ll be putting money to a worthy cause.
