In case you missed it, the iconic Bridge to Brews is back. New management brought this race back from the dead a few years ago and, once again, they are gearing up to deliver the unforgettable experience that this renowned race is known for.
From Pavement to Pints: Running High at the 2025 Bridge to Brews
Here are the details that will make you want to lace up your running shoes and mark your calendar for Portland’s springtime classic.
The Race:
Let’s talk about the main event – the race!
The start and finish location for each race is set at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, nestled between the Morrison and Burnside bridges. The All races kick off at 8:55 AM, the longer two offering participants a scenic route across 4 of Portland’s iconic bridges while the 5k will get 2.
Course time limits are set at a 15:00 minute per mile pace, as roads will need to be opened up in a timely fashion. However, the pace seems generous for most participants. Prizes await the top three male and female overall finishers.
BEV MILE
Also returning is the BEV MILE, which was a big hit last year. If you’re familiar with a traditional beer mile, you know the format: drink your beverage, run a quarter-mile lap—repeat four times to finish. Same concept here, and yes, beer is welcome if that’s your thing.

Not a drinker (or just not in the mood)? No problem. Participants can choose any 4×12 oz beverage—water, soda, non-alcoholic beer, or beer. You can also take it on solo or team up in groups of two or four.

The Brews:
After the race, keep the celebration going with a hosted beer and cider tasting on the waterfront. Enjoy a curated selection of some of Portland’s finest brews alongside music, games, food, and goodies from local vendors. Entry includes a shirt, medal, and finisher’s beer.
Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just in it for the vibes, Bridge to Brews blends fitness, fun, and great flavors into one unforgettable day. Don’t miss this Portland tradition—it’s still going strong.
