The Puma X Saysky Collab Reminds Us Why Running Is More Than a Race

We love a good running collaboration. Needless to say, we’ve seen a few over the years — and there’s just something special about two distinct brands with their own philosophies and designs coming together to create something stylistically new and fun. The latest in this space? The Puma X Saysky “More Than a Race” collab.

These are two stalwarts in the running world. Puma continues to push boundaries with innovation and performance in footwear, while Saysky brings its boutique Scandinavian flair — a casual, street-inspired aesthetic that always feels refreshingly different. Together, they’ve built something that feels both technical and expressive.

And this isn’t their first time teaming up. Their second collaboration (the first dropped this past Spring) continues a shared theme — community. Here’s a snippet from their launch:

“RACE DAY IS ABOUT MORE THAN JUST THE RUN.

It’s a celebration of community, culture, and shared energy. Whether you’re chasing a PR or cheering from the sidelines, the latest PUMA x SAYSKY collection captures the spirit of the sport.

For this second collaboration between PUMA x SAYSKY, we pay tribute to the people behind every runner — the unsung heroes who sacrifice their time so that you can have yours. This is our way of saying thank you — to the ones in the background, in the crowd, and at home. Because running might look like a solo act, but we never reach the finish line alone.”

We love that. It’s one of those messages that hits home. Personally, I may be the only one in my family who laces up regularly, but they’re the ones who make space for my miles — from early-morning long runs on vacation to volunteering at races or supporting this little Run Oregon project. I may run alone, but I’m never really alone.

The collection spans a full range of race-day and travel-ready gear — from performance footwear to training apparel to comfy, post-run layers. It’s got that “whole weekend” feel — whether you’re toeing the line, spectating, or grabbing coffee after.

The Shoes

There are three shoe options in the collection, each carrying that Puma performance DNA with Saysky’s distinctive design polish:

Puma x Saysky Fast-R NITRO Elite 3

The crown jewel here. This is one of the fastest shoes on the market — lab-tested, data-backed, and featherlight. The collab version features a stunning graphic inspired by autumn leaves and origami. If you’re looking for a race-day weapon that looks as good as it performs, this is it.

Magnify NITRO 3

A personal favorite of mine and a recent travel companion through Baltimore and D.C. The warm white colorway feels refined, with Puma X Saysky branding along the midsole. Clean, simple, and quietly confident.

Velocity NITRO 4

One of the best affordable trainers out there in our opinion at $140. The speckled midsole and co-branded details add just enough flair without overdoing it.

The Apparel

There are a variety of options in this collection, so we are just featuring a few items here.

Singlet and Short Tights

We’re deep in fall as this review hits, which means the singlet and short tights are going to have to wait a few months.

But the colorways pair beautifully with the FAST-R NITRO ELITE 3 — sharp, seasonal, and built for speed.

Fleece Running Tights and Anorak running jacket

However, the Fleece Tights and Anorak sweatshirt have been ideal cold-weather companions.

The tights are the kind that make those freezing, self-convincing winter runs almost enjoyable. I actually consider them more in the vein of running pants, as they fit slim, but not skin-tight – almost like trendy options that soccer dudes are famous for. In fact, I have sort of been squeezing them into my casual wear rotation a bit.

The Anorak strikes the right balance between warmth and breathability and is something that I literally love just wearing around the house nowadays. It soft and welcoming and the high zipped collar makes it perfect for keeping the warmth in, perhaps with a hot cocoa in hand. Don’t think its just for casual wear as well, as it layers beautifully for runs.

Final Stride

There’s a certain energy when two brands truly understand the culture of running — the community, the solitude, the shared effort. The Puma X Saysky “More Than a Race” collection nails that blend of performance and personality. Whether you’re in it for the gear or the message, it’s a collab worth celebrating.
